To give 5 stars I want to say "wow," but that usually happens with suspense novels giving you a roller coaster ride. I did not feel "wow" at the end, but I smiled a lot during the story. I see it as excellent for its genre. It's teen love, self image, different personalities, high school issues and conflicts. It's young adult but also enjoyable for adults. I feel good when I think about some of the things in the book. I won't say more because I don't want to ruin the fun of the unexpected. What it's about:
High school seniors are matched up as couples and must spend time together doing activities. The purpose is pretend marriages, earning money, and deciding how to spend it. Fiona dislikes Todd but is assigned to be his partner.

A Match Made in High School Kristin Walker 9781595142573 Books Reviews
Great humerous book that made me laugh the whole time.
This was a really good book! Fiona is the female lead and she is strong, and confused, and mouthy. Fiona struggles through challenges with boys and her best friends. Fiona comes out on top after all the seniors are made to "marry" in order to complete school. They must confront everything they know to come together.
The story line was good, and I liked how the main character had flaws that she had to learn to get over. However I was disappointed by the storyline. The style was good, the characters were great, there was a ton of character development, but I am a stickler for the storyline, and while it may be realistic, I did not like how the book ended. But it was unexpected, so I must hand it to the author for surprising me.
For the price I did expect more. A better connection to the characters, more real emotion. I don't know. The theme was so over the top it never got to gfel real. But it was an OK read. Everyone actually just annoyed me to be honest. Except Johnny. He was the only likable person really.
Why has no one told me about this book? I am a frequent watcher of youtube review videos and feel I have been let down by the book community. What a jewel of a book this was. I highly recommend this book but only if you love to laugh. This book is not for the broody at heart.
I have never laughed so hard in my life. I snorted, gasped, and wheezed until the very last page. I had to pause several times to wipe the tears of hysteria and to gather myself so I could continue reading.
I loved all of the characters and the chemistry between them. The witty banter was hilarious. I fell completely in love with Fee's parents. They were a hoot. My favorite character though had to be Fee. I loved spending time in her head.
For the most part things were pretty predictable and some things like the main plot was pretty far fetched but the book could have been about two plants trying to transplant to Arizona and it wouldn't have taken away from how fantastic this book was. As long as Kristin Walker is writing it, it will be hilarious.
Very rarely do I fell like I could read a book again right away, but if I wasn't lending it to a friend I would start it over. This is a book that I will read over and over, at least a few times a year. Definitely my go to book for a laugh. I will definitely be reading all of her future work. I am a fan.

i was not impressed with this book. For one thing the romance between Johnny and Fiona seemed totally one sided until the end of the book because Fiona was too busy obsessing over Gabe Webber a guy who ends up dating her friend for about a minute and doesnt even know Fiona exists pretty much. Also she seemed to have way more chemistry with her marriage ed partner Todd Harding. The pranks and pyscho guidance counselor were funny which was the only thing that saved this book from getting 1 star all in all good comedy not the best romance
I absolutely enjoyed this book. Fiona is in one word...real. There is no pretense, or shyness with her. The one thing I loved the most about her is she spoke her mind and didn't care what others thought. Her loving kind heart towards her babysitting charge got to me the most. She would make an excellent big sister. Her parents were gross yet completely hilarious. I really thought she would end up w/ Senor S***slacks...very unexpected ending.
